Otsego’s Early Lead Slips Away in 35-20 Loss to Eastwood
Written by Towpath Radio on October 12, 2024
Otsego came out strong in their matchup against Eastwood, jumping to a 14-0 lead behind Keeghan Hutton’s dominant rushing. Hutton racked up 197 yards and scored all three of Otsego’s touchdowns, including a 56-yard run in the second quarter.
However, Eastwood’s Andre Lewis turned the game around late in the first half, catching three touchdown passes in five minutes to put his team ahead 21-14 at halftime. Despite Otsego’s best efforts, including a long third-quarter drive, penalties and Eastwood’s adjustments proved too much to overcome. The Knights fell 35-20 but showed promise, especially through Hutton’s standout performance.
Otsego Varsity Football will play on their home field next Friday, October 18, against Lake.
