At 98.7 Towpath Radio, local voices matter. Whether it’s a thought on village improvements, community events, or local news, your perspective helps shape the conversation in and around Grand Rapids and Northwest Ohio.

We’re opening a Letters to the Editor section — a space for community members to share opinions, feedback, and ideas in their own words.

How to Submit

Email your letter to towpathradio@gmail.com

Include all of the following:

• Full first and last name
• City or village of residence
• A phone number or email for verification (not published)

Unsigned letters or pen names will not be considered.

Guidelines for Publication

To keep this a constructive community forum, please follow these rules:

• Word Limit: Aim for under 500 words.
• Civility: No personal attacks, libel, hate speech, harassment, or profanity.
• Accuracy: Claims of fact should be supportable; we may request sources for verification.
• Relevance: Focus on local or regional topics relevant to our audience.
• AI Policy: Letters generated in whole or in part by artificial intelligence (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard, or similar tools) will not be accepted.
• Originality: Letters must be original and not simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
• Political Neutrality: Towpath Radio and NWO Community Media do not endorse candidates, parties, or ballot issues, and we do not publish commentary on state or federal politics. Commentary on federal political figures, elections, or national policy is strictly prohibited. Letters may discuss local civic issues but must remain nonpartisan in tone and intent.
• Disclosure: Please disclose any relevant affiliations (campaigns, organizations, employer ties, financial interests).
• Frequency: Letters are limited to one per 30 days.
• Verification: We reserve the right to verify authorship and residence before publication.
• Editorial Discretion: NWO Community Media and 98.7 Towpath Radio reserve the right to decline publication of any letter for any reason.

Publication of a letter does not imply agreement or endorsement by 98.7 Towpath Radio or NWO Community Media.
