LaRoe’s Restaurant is Now Closed
Written by Towpath Radio on August 22, 2023
After 46 years in business, a sign attached to the front door of Laroe’s Restaurant announced it is now closed for business.
The sign, which was spotted on Tuesday, said, “Staff shortages, the work ethic, and the changing dynamics of the downtown has made me decide to retire and close LaRoe’s. Thank you for 46 years!”

Like many small town businesses, LaRoe’s was often short staffed and struggled with consistent hours since the COVID-19 pandemic.
People from all over Northwest Ohio praised Dave LaRoe for his hard work and dedication over the past four decades. You can read what people had to say on the Towpath Radio Facebook page.
After reaching out to Dave LaRoe about the future of the building he said he will maintain ownership of the building but has no plans on its future as of now.
