New Hobby Store to Open in Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids, Ohio — Gamechefs is opening a retail hobby storefront in downtown Historic Grand Rapids, Ohio. The location of the new store will be at 24232 W. Second Street, next to the Huntington Bank Building. The location is currently undergoing renovation to update the electric and the structure.
The business specializes in tabletop games and carries a large variety of board games, miniature games, role-playing games, classic games, gaming accessories, and more.
They often host weekly events and regional club meetings – including classes where you can learn to play board games, card games, or model and paint miniatures or gaming accessories.
The company was founded in 2004 and rebranded as Gamechefs in 2007. They also operate a domestic and global shipping facility for the toy and game industry with 7 online sales and fulfillment platforms such as Walmart, eBay, Sears and more. The company has over 4000 SKU’s representing inventory with Hasbro, Games Workshop, Asmodee and includes brands such as Star Wars, Marvel and Warhammer.
The planned opening date will be October 4th 2023, just in time for the annual Apple Butter Festival in the Village which brings in over 40,000 visitors* that day to the Historic Canal Town every year.
