Ol’ Creek Road to Perform at Rhythm on the River
Written by Towpath Radio on September 1, 2024
The next program of the Rhythm on the River Arts Series in Grand Rapids will be presented by Ol’ Creek Road at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8th. The programs are held in the Wright Pavilion located on the towpath between the canal and the Maumee River at the end of Lincoln Street behind LaRoe’s Venue. They are sponsored by the Historical Society of Grand Rapids.
The members of Ol’ Creek Road have played together since 2014. They play folk, bluegrass, gospel, Americana, 1970’s tunes, and a mix of songs that are passionately played to express their love of music that stirs their souls and hopefully those of their listeners. They feature a three-part harmony accompanied by a blend of fiddle, mandolin, banjo, dobro, and guitar.
The concert is free, so bring your lawn chairs or blankets and join us in this beautiful setting alongside the Maumee River and prepare to tap your feet and smile. In case of inclement weather, the program will be moved farther west on Front St. to the Old Fire Station.
