GRAND RAPIDS, OH – Families are invited to add a bit of holiday magic to their day at the 15th Annual Gingerbread House Decorating event, taking place on Saturday, November 23, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Old Fire Station in downtown Grand Rapids. This beloved community tradition is part of the annual Christmas Open House celebration, bringing cheer to the heart of Grand Rapids.
Hosted by the Grand Rapids Arts Council, the event provides children with a festive chance to unleash their creativity. Each child will receive a pre-made gingerbread house and a variety of colorful candies and frosting to craft their own unique holiday masterpiece. The event also includes visits from Father Christmas himself and lively performances by local carolers to add to the seasonal atmosphere.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate upon arrival, a gesture that helps support local families in need. These donations keep the event free for everyone and support the Arts Council’s mission of giving back to the community.
Don’t miss out on the fun and festive spirit! Join the Grand Rapids Arts Council and create cherished memories while giving back to the community this holiday season.
