Grand Rapids, Ohio — The Town Hall Committee and Grand Rapids Historical Society have announced an upcoming musical performance featuring The Voices of Harmony, set for 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, at the historic Grand Rapids Town Hall.
The Voices of Harmony, a Bowling Green-based men’s a cappella barbershop chorus, will take the stage in the Town Hall auditorium at 24282 Front Street. The award-winning group is part of the Barbershop Harmony Society and is known for its high-energy performances and four-part harmony sound.
Founded in 2006 by Richard (R.D.) Mathey of Bowling Green State University, the chorus performs throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. Their repertoire includes holiday concerts, community events, and their popular Singing Valentines each February.
Now directed by CC Snyder, the 2023 Johnny Appleseed District Barbershopper of the Year, the group continues to build a reputation for strong musicianship, engaging stage presence, and community involvement. In addition to performances, the chorus hosts an annual “BarberQ” festival and welcomes new members to weekly rehearsals in Bowling Green.
Tickets for the Grand Rapids performance are $10 and can be purchased at The Village Orchard or at the door.
