Written by on September 7, 2026

GRAND RAPIDS, Ohio — The Grand Rapids Historical Society’s Rhythm on the River Arts Series continues Sunday, Sept. 13, with a free performance by the Maumee Community Band.

The concert begins at 4 p.m. at the Wright Pavilion, located along the towpath between the Miami & Erie Canal and the Maumee River at the end of Lincoln Street behind LaRoe’s Venue.

Supported by the City of Maumee and directed by Kevin Heidbreder, the all-volunteer Maumee Community Band has long provided live concert performances throughout Northwest Ohio. The ensemble performs a variety of musical styles while promoting community involvement and opportunities for local musicians.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for the outdoor concert. In the event of rain, the performance will move to the Old Fire Station on Front Street.

Admission is free and open to the public.
